Ward Fleri has over 20 years of experience successfully delivering results in a variety of scientific domains and has led teams with diverse technical and scientific backgrounds on multimillion-dollar programs in small business, academic, and non-profit research environments. He recently retired from La Jolla Institute after 13 years as project manager for the Immune Epitope Database. He also served as project manager for the Protein Data Bank while at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. He transitioned into project management while working at a small aerospace firm in San Diego that specialized in physics-based modeling. He did his postdoctoral work in paleoclimiatology after receiving a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Brown University. His passion is to make an impact using his practical experience in program management and leadership to enable basic and applied scientific research.
